Nexcel Metals (Nexcel Mtl) is progressing technical preparations at its Burnt Hill tungsten project in New Brunswick. A core initiative involves digitizing a substantial archive of historical exploration data, a move designed to create a more precise foundation for resource development activities slated for this year. This digital groundwork is setting the stage for imminent field programs expected to commence within weeks.

Strategic Focus on a Critical Mineral

The project's strategic relevance is heightened by tungsten's classification as a critical mineral essential for global supply chains. The 1,540-hectare property hosts significant NI 43-101-compliant resources containing not only tungsten but also molybdenum and tin. The current resource estimates provide the baseline for upcoming operational phases:

• Indicated Resources: 1.76 million tonnes at 0.292% WO3
• Inferred Resources: 1.52 million tonnes at 0.263% WO3

Modernizing Data for Targeted Exploration

Under the guidance of specialist Graham Giles, the company's team began work yesterday on developing a comprehensive GIS database. The objective is to convert legacy geological information into a modern digital format, thereby enhancing the accuracy and effectiveness of future exploration campaigns.

This process is already yielding results. Preliminary insights from the data conversion have prompted adjustments to the parameters for planned airborne geophysical surveys. These refinements aim to improve the detection of deeper mineralized zones.

By optimizing drill targeting through this digital analysis, Nexcel Metals intends to deploy capital more efficiently, focusing its efforts on the most prospective areas of the property during the main field season.

Upcoming Operational Milestones

The company has outlined a clear timeline for its next steps. The upcoming milestone is the initiation of geophysical survey work, scheduled for spring 2026. This will be followed by the commencement of the first drilling program on the property in the subsequent summer.
