Nestlé's ongoing corporate transformation is entering a new phase, marked by a significant leadership departure and continued portfolio adjustments. The moves signal a deepening commitment to streamlining operations and sharpening the company's strategic focus.

Leadership Shift Follows Organizational Consolidation

A key change in the executive suite has been confirmed, effective February 28, 2026. Anna Mohl, the former head of Nestlé Health Science, has departed the group's executive board. This decision follows the previously announced merger of the Nutrition and Nestlé Health Science divisions, a structural change designed to enhance organizational simplicity and operational efficiency.

Strategic Review Targets Non-Core Assets

Beyond internal restructuring, Nestlé is actively reshaping its business portfolio. Several segments are now under review for potential divestment, including parts of its ice cream business, the water division, and certain vitamin brands. The objective behind these potential sales is to intensify the company's concentration on its high-growth core categories.

Financial Targets and Market Reaction

Looking ahead to 2026, the Swiss food and beverage giant is targeting organic growth of 3 to 4%. Concurrent goals include improving its underlying trading operating profit (UTOP) margin and generating a free cash flow exceeding 9 billion Swiss francs. To fuel this ambition, the company plans to direct additional investment toward selected growth platforms.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Nestle?

Despite the strategic announcements, Nestlé shares showed little definitive direction at the start of the trading week. The stock is currently priced at 91.18 Euros, reflecting a decline of 1.16% for the session. However, taking a broader view reveals a more positive trend: the share price has advanced 14.05% over the past 30 days. Furthermore, the current valuation sits just 3.9% below its 52-week high of 94.88 Euros.

Shareholders can expect further updates on the transformation journey at the upcoming Annual General Meeting, scheduled for April 16, 2026.
