Maxus Mining Secures Funding for Critical Metal Exploration
29.03.2026 - 13:16:19 | boerse-global.deIn a challenging market environment, Canadian exploration company Maxus Mining has successfully bolstered its financial position. The firm has completed a private placement, securing the necessary capital to advance its upcoming exploration programs in British Columbia. The company's primary focus is the search for the critical industrial metal, antimony.
Capital Raised Against Sector Headwinds
This fresh injection of capital arrives during a period of notable pressure on the resource sector. Prices for copper and gold have recently retreated, and the Canadian S&P/TSX Venture Index, which lists numerous junior explorers, has also declined significantly. This broad industry weakness is evident in Maxus Mining's share performance. Closing at 0.50 Euros on Friday, the stock trades just marginally above its 52-week low and has lost approximately 57 percent of its value since the start of the year. The deeply oversold condition of the shares reflects the current extreme investor caution toward junior exploration companies.
Funds Directed to Historic Antimony Project
The newly raised funds are earmarked for the continued development of the Alturas project. Maxus Mining just assumed full control of this property, which encompasses the historic Alps-Alturas mine, this past Thursday. Historical records from the site indicate past mining of antimony with exceptionally high average grades exceeding 57 percent. To better understand the 1,300-meter-long mineralized corridor system, management has already commissioned airborne geophysical surveys.

Exploration Budget Locked In Through Tax Incentive Structure
By utilizing a Flow-Through financing model, which offers tax advantages to Canadian investors, the company has secured its budget for imminent field work in Canada. This structure allows management to focus entirely on interpreting the geophysical data and identifying specific drill targets at the Alturas project. Maxus Mining now moves forward with a market capitalization of roughly 15 million Canadian dollars.
