ABO Wind AG is undergoing a significant change in its executive team during a critical financial overhaul. The company's Chief Financial Officer, Alexander Reinicke, left the organization with immediate effect on March 12, 2026. This departure comes just seventy-two hours after the firm secured a major vote of confidence from its bondholders for its ongoing restructuring plan.

Restructuring Plan Receives Overwhelming Creditor Support

On March 9, creditors holding the company's corporate bond endorsed the proposed restructuring path with a decisive majority. Every resolution presented passed with more than 99 percent of the votes. This outcome is viewed as a strong indicator of the company's ability to manage its finances through a challenging period.

Reinicke, who had served on the board since 2022, concludes a twenty-year career with ABO Wind. For the time being, his responsibilities will be managed by the existing leadership team. A permanent successor for the CFO role has not yet been appointed.

Company Presses Ahead with Turnaround Efforts

The need for restructuring is underscored by the company's financial outlook. Management anticipates a significant consolidated net loss for the 2025 fiscal year. The balance sheet is under pressure from project delays and asset write-downs triggered by shifting market conditions. An efficiency and transformation program has been initiated to counter these challenges.

Company leadership has stated that Reinicke's exit will not affect day-to-day operations or the execution of the restructuring roadmap. However, the credibility of this assurance may hinge on the timely filling of the now-vacant CFO position. This role is considered key, particularly as the company works to maintain the hard-won trust of its creditors during a delicate phase.
