Kraken Robotics is strengthening its position in the global defense market with a fresh wave of contract wins and a significant manufacturing expansion. The company has announced new defense orders totaling approximately $24 million, secured from over ten customers across five different nations.

Manufacturing Expansion to Meet Demand

A key development supporting this growth is the imminent launch of production at a new facility in Nova Scotia. Operations for battery systems are scheduled to commence within the next month. This strategic move directly addresses capacity constraints that had previously limited output in Kraken's energy storage division, which is experiencing rising demand.

Details of the New Contract Portfolio

The recently awarded contracts span three of Kraken's core product lines. These include SeaPower battery systems, the KATFISH synthetic aperture sonar towfish, and various sonar integrations designed for autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).

A notable order within this batch comes from the Polish Navy, involving a KATFISH system destined for integration onto the Kormoran-II class mine countermeasure vessels. The company's defense portfolio is also expanding its reach, with three of the contracting customers being entirely new to Kraken, indicating successful penetration into previously untapped markets.

Stock Performance and Operational Outlook

While Kraken's shares have recovered significantly from their 52-week low of €1.36, reached in April 2025, the current price remains roughly 14% below the annual peak.
