Intellistake Gains Strategic Validation from University Space Tech Partnership

Intellistake's stake in Orbit AI gains relevance as NTU uses its satellites for real-world AI control system tests, validating the tech amid market lows.

A new academic collaboration in space technology is providing indirect but significant validation for Intellistake Technologies. The company’s strategic stake in satellite specialist Orbit AI, also known as BC Space, is gaining relevance following an announced partnership between the developer and Singapore’s prestigious Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The alliance focuses on designing control systems for computational satellites, underscoring the potential of the technology in which Intellistake has invested.

University Research Meets Orbital Infrastructure

The core of the agreement, revealed on March 9, centers on applied research. NTU scientists will gain direct access to Orbit AI's computational satellites to test newly developed algorithms under authentic space conditions. This testing platform includes the Genesis satellite, which was launched in late 2025. Further launches to expand this orbital infrastructure are firmly scheduled for the ongoing 2026 calendar year.

These operational trials are designed to evaluate the performance of the control systems in real-world use. The growing institutional interest in orbital computing power is thus moving squarely into the focus of academic investigation, moving the technology beyond theoretical development.

A Confirmation Amid Market Challenges

While Intellistake holds a one percent equity stake in Orbit AI, its management views the university cooperation as a reinforcement of its investment thesis. Orbit AI's technology directly merges decentralized artificial intelligence with space infrastructure. A prime example is the Genesis-1 satellite, equipped with NVIDIA technology, which performs real-time AI analysis directly in orbit.

This fundamental endorsement of the business model arrives against a technically challenging market backdrop for Intellistake shares. Closing at €0.39 yesterday, the equity is trading just fractionally above its 52-week low of €0.38, which was recorded in mid-February.

The Long-Term Vision: A Sovereign Orbital Network

The long-term ambition for Orbit AI involves establishing a global mesh network. The vision encompasses solar-powered computing units and blockchain-verified nodes in space, aiming to enable digital sovereignty independent of terrestrial infrastructure. The current NTU collaboration marks a tangible shift from pure hardware deployment toward the software-side optimization of these satellites, a critical step in evolving the platform's capabilities.
