DeFi Technologies Unveils New Data Index and Announces Token Conversion

DeFi Technologies unveils a new capital flow index for crypto investors, while its subsidiary Valour details a technical conversion for Mantra-linked certificates.

DeFi Technologies is intensifying its focus on developing data-centric products for cryptocurrency investors. The company recently hosted a webinar to introduce its latest offering, the DVIO Digital Asset Index. In a related development, its subsidiary Valour has announced a technical conversion process for certain certificates linked to the Mantra network.

A New Index for Tracking Capital Flows

During the digital presentation, executives Andrew Forson, President of DeFi Technologies and Chief Growth Officer at Valour, alongside Andrea Disaro from Structured Products & Quantitative Analysis, detailed the construction of the DVIO Index. This new tool is designed to aggregate market data and generate signals derived from capital movements within the crypto space.

The index primarily targets asset managers and proprietary traders seeking a quantitative overview of the broader digital asset ecosystem. A core feature is an "Altcoin Barometer." This component is said to measure capital flows rather than focusing solely on price levels, indicating whether investor money is moving toward Bitcoin or alternative digital assets. Management confirmed plans to distribute these index insights to financial institutions on a weekly basis.

Valour Announces Mantra Certificate Conversion

Simultaneously, Valour issued a notice concerning its "Open ended Valour Mantra SEK Certificates." This action is prompted by an upcoming "Network Transformation Event" for the underlying digital asset, which involves a redenomination and rebranding of the network.

The conversion is described as non-dilutive. For each existing token, four new tokens will be issued. According to the announcement, this change will not affect the entitlement size or underlying value for current certificate holders.

The conversion process is scheduled to commence on March 2. To ensure an orderly transition, a temporary trading suspension for the affected certificates on the Spotlight Stock Market is planned for both March 2 and March 3.

Consequently, March 2 stands out as the key operational date. On this day, the network transformation begins, and the announced two-day trading halt for the relevant Valour Mantra SEK certificates takes effect.
