Aventis Energy Nears Critical Exploration Phase at Corvo Uranium Project

For the first time in over four decades, drilling operations are set to recommence at the Corvo Uranium Project, positioning February 2026 as a pivotal month for Aventis Energy. The company is on the verge of launching its inaugural drilling campaign at the site. The central question now is whether this upcoming program, guided by modern geophysical data and historical samples, will yield significant discoveries.

Financially, the company has stated its exploration program is fully funded, pointing to a flow-through private placement completed in late 2025, with closings in October and November. Aventis Energy holds an option to acquire a 75% interest in the Corvo Project, which consists of 13 mineral dispositions spanning approximately 12,265 hectares. To meet the first-year expenditure requirements of its option agreement with Standard Uranium Ltd., Aventis will cover 100% of the costs for this initial drilling program.

Market observers are watching closely, with the share price currently trading at 0.15 euros, aligning with its 50-day moving average. This suggests the market is attentive but appears to be awaiting concrete operational progress before making significant moves.

Geophysical Targeting Precedes the Drill

In preparation for the drill campaign, Aventis has completed a high-resolution ground gravity survey conducted by MWH Geo-Surveys (Canada) Ltd. This extensive survey covered more than 29 line-kilometers of electromagnetic conductor structures, utilizing over 5,000 measurement stations.

The purpose of such geophysical work is to identify density anomalies in the subsurface. These anomalies can indicate hydrothermal alteration systems, which are often associated with uranium mineralization trends along conductive structures. Essentially, the advanced survey data is intended to refine and de-risk the drilling targets before committing to the costly meter-by-meter work underground.

A primary target is the Manhattan Showing, an area that, according to the company’s announcement, has never been drill-tested. Historical surface grab samples from this location have reportedly returned uranium grades of up to 8.10% U₃O₈.

Operational Timeline and Program Details

According to a January 13th announcement, Aventis has finalized all preparatory work for its first diamond drilling program at the Corvo Uranium Project, located in the eastern Athabasca Basin of Saskatchewan. Field crews are scheduled for mobilization in early February 2026, marking the return of a drill rig to the property after more than 40 years.

The planned winter program will comprise approximately 2,500 to 3,000 meters of drilling, distributed across 8 to 10 individual holes. The target zones are situated at relatively shallow depths of about 200 to 300 meters. The focus will be on investigating shallow basement-hosted uranium mineralization—structures in the bedrock that are comparatively accessible for drilling verification.

Looking ahead, three key milestones are expected to dictate the narrative for Aventis Energy: confirmation of crew mobilization in early February, the actual commencement of drilling, and the subsequent release of the first assay results from the program.
