The current strategic moves follow a larger restructuring initiated in January. Audacy transitioned from a geographically-focused organizational model to one centered on content verticals. This shift is designed to enhance operational efficiency and scale content across multiple markets.

These structural changes come after the completion of a balance sheet restructuring in early 2025, which allowed the company to significantly reduce its debt burden. The renewed focus on specialized content and streamlined operations now forms the foundation for Audacy's development in the current fiscal year.

Consolidating Local Leadership and Expanding Reach

In a move to bolster local brand leadership and operational effectiveness, the company announced today that it is consolidating responsibilities for its Sacramento market. Andy Hawk will now oversee stations ALT 94.7, 96.9 The Eagle, and 98 Rock, adding the latter two to his existing role.

This follows an expansion announced yesterday for its sports radio network. The programming of WGR from Buffalo will now also be broadcast in the Rochester market via station WROC-AM. This strategy leverages existing, successful content to reach new audience segments. The approach is further supported by long-term partnerships, such as the recently extended collaboration with the NFL's Detroit Lions, renewed on February 18.
