The strategic push by Western nations to secure domestic supplies of critical minerals has thrust Antimony Resources and its Canadian Bald Hill project into the spotlight. The company is now transitioning from explorer to developer, a move recently endorsed by analysts who see significant potential in the emerging producer.

GBC AG initiated coverage on the stock in late March 2026 with a Buy recommendation and a price target of CAD 3.00. The firm highlighted the company's strategic positioning within the critical raw materials market and pointed to the ongoing drilling campaign as a key catalyst for establishing an initial resource estimate. This analyst confidence is underpinned by a transformed market landscape, where China's imposition of antimony export restrictions in December 2024 has caused prices to surge, at times reaching nearly six times their 2020 levels.

Central to the investment thesis is the 10,000-meter definition drilling program underway in the project's Main Zone. This campaign is scheduled for completion by the end of April 2026, with assay results expected several weeks later. The data will feed into a maiden mineral resource estimate being prepared by SRK Consultants, who are working from a continuously updated geological 3D model. The known deposit is substantial, extending over 700 meters in length to depths of 400 meters, with average grades between 3% and 4% antimony. High-grade sections have shown concentrations exceeding 30%.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Antimony Resources?

Concurrently, Antimony Resources is laying the groundwork for future production. The company has engaged GEMTEC Consulting Engineers and Scientists to draft a structured roadmap to project permitting. Initial discussions with provincial authorities in New Brunswick are already in progress, and on-site environmental baseline studies are set to commence this spring. The management team is also proactively engaging with federal agencies and the Ministry of Indigenous Affairs, aiming to address potential concerns early for a smoother regulatory process.

The broader context adds considerable weight to these operational steps. Antimony is indispensable for flame retardants, batteries, specialty glass, and increasingly for military applications like ammunition, infrared sensors, and drone technology. With global production heavily concentrated in China, Russia, and Tajikistan, Bald Hill represents a potential North American supply source. The project boasts a conceptual exploration target of approximately 2.7 million tonnes at grades of three to four percent, and recent fieldwork at the western Marcus Zone suggests the mineralized system may be larger than currently defined.

Financially bolstered by successful capital raises late last year, the company is funded for its near-term objectives. The combined data from the drilling program and permitting studies will form the basis for submitting a formal construction and operating application, targeted for late 2026 or early 2027.
