Antimony Resources is approaching a pivotal moment for its Bald Hill project in New Brunswick, with a certified mineral resource estimate weeks away and a new discovery adding further intrigue. The company is advancing on multiple fronts as the structurally elevated price of its namesake metal continues to underpin the project's economics.

The current 10,000-meter drill program is nearing completion, with 6,500 meters already drilled. Two rigs continue to operate, having extended the Main Zone both to the east and west. The entire campaign is scheduled to finish by the end of April 2026. In a significant mid-program development, field teams have uncovered a new zone of mineralization dubbed Marcus West. Surface trenching has exposed massive stibnite in bedrock, with structural similarities to the known Main Zone. The company plans to follow up with up to six shallow holes, between 30 and 50 meters deep, to test this new area.

This work is building toward the project's first NI 43-101-compliant mineral resource estimate (MRE), to be prepared by SRK Consulting of Toronto. Final assay results are expected three to four weeks after drilling concludes, with the formal resource submission anticipated by late April or early May 2026. This will provide a verified foundation, moving beyond historical estimates that pointed to a resource of approximately 70,000 to 124,000 tonnes of antimony. The conceptual target for Bald Hill is around 2.7 million tonnes grading three to four percent antimony across a deposit measuring 700 meters in strike length and 350 meters deep.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Antimony Resources?

Concurrently, the company is not waiting to begin the regulatory process. In April 2026, it engaged engineering firm GEMTEC of Fredericton to develop a comprehensive permitting roadmap. Preliminary discussions with the New Brunswick provincial government have already occurred, and baseline environmental studies are set to begin this spring. It remains to be determined whether a separate federal environmental assessment will also be required.

The project's viability is bolstered by a strong commodity price. Antimony currently trades around $51.80 per kilogram. While this is 36 percent below the July 2025 record high of $59,750 per tonne, it still represents a staggering 171 percent increase over levels seen at the start of 2024. China's export restrictions and ongoing trade tensions have reshaped global supply chains, cementing antimony's status as a critical mineral in the US, EU, and China for use in batteries, alloys, and defense applications. Notably, China temporarily lifted its export restrictions on antimony to the US in late 2025, a suspension valid until November 2026, seen as a modest easing of trade friction.

The investment bank GBC AG initiated coverage on Antimony Resources in April 2026 with a Buy recommendation and a price target of C$3.00. The analyst highlighted New Brunswick's mining-friendly jurisdiction as a key advantage for the developing project.

With the drill program ending, the resource estimate imminent, and permitting underway, several catalysts are converging for Antimony Resources in a short timeframe. The certified resource figure, confirming or exceeding historical estimates, is poised to be the next major driver for the stock.
