GBC AG has initiated coverage on Antimony Resources Corp., assigning the stock a 'Buy' rating and setting a price target of CAD 3.00. This target implies significant upside from the current trading level of approximately CAD 1.53. The firm's bullish outlook is anchored in the progress and potential of the company's flagship Bald Hill project located in New Brunswick, Canada.

Strategic Context and Market Dynamics

The investment narrative for Antimony Resources is supported by powerful macro trends. China's imposition of export controls on antimony has dramatically tightened global supply, at times driving prices for the metal to around USD 60,000 per tonne—nearly six times the level seen in 2020. In response, both the United States and the European Union have formally classified antimony as a critical mineral.

Industry analysis from Fortune Business Insights projects robust growth, with the global antimony market expected to expand from USD 1.22 billion in 2026 to over USD 2 billion by 2034. GBC highlights the mining-friendly jurisdiction of New Brunswick as a key strategic advantage, positioning the region as a potential Western alternative to supply chains currently dominated by China and Russia.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Antimony Resources?

Unlocking Value at Bald Hill

The core of the valuation thesis centers on the Bald Hill antimony project. According to a technical NI 43-101 report, the property holds an estimated exploration potential of between 69,990 and 92,780 tonnes of antimony at a grade of 3.0% Sb. The company has engaged SRK Consultants to complete a formal resource estimate and is concurrently developing a continuously updated 3D geological model.

An ongoing drill program is nearing completion. Of the planned 10,000 meters, 6,500 meters have already been finished. Drilling from both eastern and western directions has consistently intersected stibnite mineralisation containing antimony along a known strike length of 700 meters. The remaining drilling work is scheduled for conclusion by the end of April, with assay results expected to follow several weeks later.

GBC analysts Cosmin Filker and Matthias Greiffernberger identify the transition from an exploration target to a formal inferred resource as a pivotal value catalyst. This milestone typically signifies a material reduction in geological risk. Financially, the company is well-positioned to fully fund its current program, holding a treasury with more than CAD 7 million in cash.

Path to the Price Target

The CAD 3.00 price target is set with a horizon to the end of 2026. Its attainment is viewed as heavily dependent on the resource figures SRK Consultants will publish following the drill program's conclusion. Furthermore, the potential of newly identified zones, such as "Bald Hill South" and the "Marcus Zone," to expand the project's overall scope will be a critical factor for future re-rating.
