The German staffing and training specialist Amadeus Fire is navigating a period of economic stagnation. The company's latest investor factbook reveals a cautious stance for the first half of 2026, as it works to move beyond the losses reported in the previous fiscal year.

A Shift Toward Education for Stability

In an effort to reduce its exposure to cyclical economic downturns, the group is aggressively expanding its professional training division. This strategic pivot follows a difficult 2025 financial year, during which revenue fell by nearly 17 percent to 363.6 million euros. The company ultimately posted a consolidated loss of 2.4 million euros, a stark contrast to the multi-million-euro profit achieved a year earlier.

The long-term goal for management is to return to a double-digit operating EBITA margin. The vision is to build an educational ecosystem that grows organically and counterbalances volatility in the core staffing business. The current German labor market provides little tailwind. Company leadership has signaled tempered expectations for the coming months, noting that clients are noticeably delaying decision-making processes in personnel recruitment. This slowdown is impacting a business already in transition.

The broader economic climate underpins this caution. An unemployment rate of 6.4 percent in March highlights the pressure on the personnel services sector. Market skepticism is reflected in the share price, which currently trades at 23.05 euros—hovering just above its 52-week low of 22.55 euros.
