ABB Ltd shares will begin trading ex-dividend on Monday, marking a technical adjustment to the share price following shareholder approvals granted at the company's Annual General Meeting. The meeting, held on March 19 in Zurich, saw all proposals from the Board of Directors pass with clear majorities.

Strategic Continuity and Capital Return in Focus

The AGM reinforced stability in the company's leadership. Shareholders re-elected Board Chairman Peter Voser, along with all other board members who were up for election, including David Constable and Claudia Nemat. The management team reiterated its commitment to its core strategic pillars of electrification and automation.

A key resolution was the approval of a dividend increase to 0.94 Swiss francs per share for the 2025 fiscal year. This represents a 4.4 percent rise compared to the previous year's payout. The dividend will be distributed to shareholders on March 25, 2026. The commencement of ex-dividend trading on Monday will result in a corresponding, technically-driven adjustment to the share price, reflecting the value of the approved distribution.

Share Buyback Program Progresses

Alongside the dividend, ABB continues to execute its share repurchase initiative, which was launched in February. The company reported acquiring an additional 420,500 of its own shares on the SIX Swiss Exchange between March 12 and 18.
