The specialist in coins and collectibles now operates firmly anchored under a new corporate umbrella following its 2024 merger and subsequent acquisition by A-Mark Precious Metals. This move represents the culmination of a multi-year transformation for former shareholders and market observers.

Integration into a Larger Network

The pivotal development occurred in early 2025 when A-Mark Precious Metals secured Spectrum Group for a total consideration of $92 million. This transaction was settled evenly in cash and shares of A-Mark common stock. As a result, notable subsidiaries, including the auction house Stack's Bowers Galleries and the wine merchant Spectrum Wine, changed ownership.

Despite the full acquisition, the core business units will retain their operational identities. Stack's Bowers Galleries, for instance, will continue as a standalone subsidiary within A-Mark's portfolio.
