Verbund appoints Stefan Waldner as CFO: stock pre-market at EUR 62.90, down 0.44 percent

Verbund AG appointed Stefan Waldner as chief financial officer and a member of its Management Board on October 7, 2026, according to an EQS News announcement. The appointment is for two years, with an option to extend it for a further two years.

New finance chief
Waldner, 49, currently holds a senior vice president role in OMV’s finance function. His previous positions included chief financial officer of OMV Petrol Ofisi in Türkiye and chief financial officer and Executive Board member of OMV Petrom in Romania, the EQS News release said.
Waldner succeeds Peter Kollmann, who stepped down on August 31, 2026. Until Waldner takes office, Chief Executive Officer Michael Strugl will continue to oversee the finance portfolio, while the Supervisory Board thanked him for taking on the additional responsibility, according to EQS News.
Waldner said he would focus with the Management Board and employees on implementing Verbund’s strategy, sound financing and disciplined capital allocation, the announcement stated. Verbund is listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange and is included in the ATX, according to the release.
