The companies planned demonstrations in Fiat 500e and Maserati Grecale development vehicles using Wayve's AI Driver integrated with Stellantis' STLA AutoDrive platform. Stellantis said the vehicles demonstrated hands-free, door-to-door supervised automated driving classified as Level 2++. The release also said the companies' strategic partnership initially focused on supervised automated driving in highway and urban environments, with a first product launch targeted for 2028 in North America.
