Expanded immunology alliance

Sanofi and Regeneron announced on October 1, 2026, that they would expand their long-standing antibody collaboration by adding four next-generation, long-acting antibodies. The programs target interleukin-13, an IL-4xIL-13 bispecific, interleukin-4 and interleukin-4 receptor alpha, according to the Regeneron release.

Regeneron will receive USD 1 billion from Sanofi upfront, with potential development, regulatory and commercial milestone payments of up to an additional USD 7 billion. The companies will share development and commercialization costs and split future profits from the new programs equally worldwide. Regeneron will lead research and development, while Sanofi will lead global commercial efforts, the company announcement said.

REGN20423 is in a Phase 1 clinical trial for atopic dermatitis, while the other three antibodies are expected to enter clinical studies in 2027. The companies also settled prior collaboration-related litigation, according to the Reuters report.
