Biomethane project
PGN is working with PT Toyota Tsusho Indonesia and PT KIS Biofuels on the project, which uses organic palm oil waste in South Sumatra. PGN attended the facility’s groundbreaking ceremony on October 5, 2026. Under the partnership, PGN will act as the primary buyer and transporter, while biomethane produced by PT KIS Toyota Tsusho Biomethane Indonesia will be distributed to Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia and other industries through PGN’s pipeline network. The project follows a 2022 memorandum of understanding between PGN and Toyota Tsusho, the report said. PGN described the initiative as a step toward bringing renewable gas from domestic sources into Indonesia’s energy supply chain.
