Automated logistics center handed over
In a release dated October 6, 2026, Jungheinrich said it had officially handed over an automated logistics center at Leipzig/Halle Airport to Deutsche Aircraft. The facility combines the Jungheinrich PowerCube automated compact bin storage system with an automated very narrow aisle warehouse, or AutoVNA, under one control system.
The PowerCube accommodates more than 6,500 bin storage locations across 26 levels on a footprint of approximately 210 square meters. The AutoVNA handles 624 pallets in two aisles. The facility is designed for two-shift operation and can be expanded to three shifts.
