GPU and Xeon details
Intel said the GPU D-series, based on its Xe3P architecture, combines up to 480 GB of LPDDR5X memory, 1.5 TB per second of memory bandwidth and 1.3 petaflops of FP8 compute within a 350-watt power envelope. The company said the product supports models with up to 300 billion parameters on a single card and more than one trillion parameters in an eight-GPU system. Customer sampling is underway, according to Intel.
Intel also said selected Xeon 6+ configurations can scale beyond 46,000 cores per rack at 133.45 kilowatts of total rack power. The company said it continues to work with partners on open infrastructure and software for AI workloads.
