C2i acquisition completed
Infineon announced on October 5, 2026, that it had completed its acquisition of Bengaluru-based C2i Semiconductors. The company said C2i adds expertise in software-defined power management, multiphase controllers and smart power stages for AI data center applications. Its team joins Infineon’s Power Systems division, and Infineon said it employs approximately 2,800 people across multiple locations in India.
SolarEdge collaboration
In a September 9, 2026 release, Infineon said it had extended its collaboration with SolarEdge to develop solid-state circuit-breaker technology for high-voltage direct-current distribution in AI and hyperscale data centers.
