Vamikibart study update
Chugai Pharmaceutical said the data came from the Phase III MEERKAT and SANDCAT studies and were presented at the American Academy of Ophthalmology 2026 Annual Meeting. The company reported sustained improvements in vision and reductions in macular thickness through Week 52 across both studies.
Chugai Pharmaceutical also said approximately two-thirds of patients who entered the as-needed dosing period after Week 16 required no retreatment. Among patients who did require retreatment, the majority needed only one additional injection, while the safety profile remained consistent through Week 52.
