On October 1, Canadian Pacific Kansas City said it had reached a tentative five-year collective agreement with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen. The company said the agreement provides for increased wages and more flexible work rules and covers approximately 250 train and engine employees on the southern portion of the Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern property. Those employees operate trains in Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois and Missouri, according to the company release.
The agreement remains subject to ratification by the union’s membership, the company said. The announcement concerned a labor agreement covering a defined group of employees in the U.S. Midwest and did not include a financial outlook in the release. The company’s investor-relations materials identify CP as the stock symbol on both the Toronto Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange.
