Bloom Energy report
In a September 16, 2026 release, Bloom Energy said its 800V DC-native fuel cell solution could reduce non-compute capital expenditures for a 1 GW AI data center by $3.6 billion, or 27 percent, compared with traditional AC solutions.
The company also said its analysis indicated a $5.5 billion, or 9 percent, reduction in five-year total cost of ownership for the same type of data center. Bloom Energy described the figures as part of its economic analysis and cautioned that actual project economics would vary by site design, energy prices, equipment costs and other project-specific factors.
