On October 5, West Virginia American Water announced a USD 100,000 water infrastructure project on Eleanor Alley in Eleanor, West Virginia, according to PR Newswire. The subsidiary of American Water said the work will replace 580 feet of aging pipe with a 2-inch PVC main.
Construction began during the week of September 23 and is scheduled to finish by the end of October, with final street restoration planned for fall 2026. The project is part of West Virginia American Water's plan to invest more than USD 129 million in infrastructure upgrades across the state in 2026.
