Debt financing announced
In a September 23, 2026 release, AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. said it had priced $2.00 billion of 8.875% first-lien notes due 2031 and $850.00 million of first-lien term loans. The term loans carry interest at SOFR plus 4.50 percent and an original issue discount of 1.50 percent.
The company said the offering and the new first-lien term loan facility, together with a previously announced $1.12 billion second-lien term loan facility, were expected to close on or around October 5, 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. The company said proceeds and cash on hand would be used for debt-related transactions, including a tender offer for its 7.500% senior secured notes due 2029. The September 24, 2026 Form 8-K identified AMC’s Class A common stock as trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol AMC.
