Desmet integration
In a PR Newswire release dated October 5, 2026, Alfa Laval said it had begun the process of fully integrating Desmet. Desmet has operated as a separate entity since Alfa Laval acquired it in 2022.
The company said Desmet will become a product and process technology brand within Alfa Laval. The integration is expected to be completed by July 2027, with Desmet's extraction and processing expertise combined with Alfa Laval technologies in separation, heat transfer and downstream processing.
The integration will take place in phases and Desmet will be integrated into Business Unit Process Engineering Solutions in Alfa Laval's Food & Pharma Division. The release said the joint global sales, service and supply network will be extended with local teams in more than 150 countries.
