GENEVA, 01 March 2024 / PRN Africa / -- The UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) will review Kazakhstan, Zambia, Bahrain, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua in its latest session from 4 to 22 March.
The seven countries are among the 190 States parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. They are required to undergo regular reviews by the Committee of 18 independent international experts on how they are implementing the Convention and the Committee's previous recommendations.
The CRPD, which has received respective country reports as well as other submissions from non-governmental organisations, will discuss a range of issues with the seven State delegations through public dialogues on the following dates at Geneva time.

The above public dialogues will be held in Room XVII at Palais des Nations, Geneva. The Committee will also conduct open dialogues to follow up on inquiries with Spain and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, respectively, on 18 March.
