Two corporate developments and one technical disclosure landed around XRP this week, and each points in a different direction for the token. Stripe-owned Privy has wired embedded wallet support into the XRP Ledger, while XRP-focused treasury firm Evernorth named a chief investment officer the day after its Nasdaq listing. Separately, the XRP Ledger Foundation and RippleX went public with a payment-core flaw that has already been fixed.

Privy opens the Ledger to in-app wallets

Privy said yesterday that developers can now create and manage wallets and sign transactions on the XRP Ledger through its embedded wallet stack. The integration covers XRP, RLUSD and other assets on the network, giving applications a direct route into the ledger rather than a broad corporate partnership.

That breadth cuts both ways. Because Privy's support is not limited to XRP, heavier use of the infrastructure cannot be read as an automatic lift in demand for the token itself. Which assets applications actually choose to hold and move is the distinction that matters.

Ripple, meanwhile, put a figure on automated activity: the XRP Ledger has processed 13 million agent-driven payments, roughly a quarter of all network activity. That number describes how the network is being used, but it is a standalone data point — no causal link to the Privy rollout was offered.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying XRP?

A security fix already in the rear-view mirror

The access expansion arrives alongside a significant security disclosure. On Friday, the XRP Ledger Foundation and RippleX published details of a bug in the payment core that could have allowed the creation of spendable XRP beyond the intended supply.

RippleX said it patched the flaw on 25 September with xrpld 3.4.1 and found no evidence of exploitation on a public network. For holders, the two threads sit side by side: Privy widens what developers can build, while the security notice concerns an issue that is already closed. Neither an ongoing exploit nor an immediate demand effect from the integration is supported by either announcement.

Evernorth fills out its investment bench

On the corporate side, Evernorth appointed Hugo Jeandesboz as Chief Investment Officer yesterday, following its Monday market debut. The company began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN after completing its combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II, and the CIO hire fills a central investment role shortly after.

The distinction is worth keeping straight: Evernorth is a standalone XRP treasury company, not the operator of the XRP Ledger. The appointment concerns its own investment leadership — it is neither a technical change to the network nor evidence of fresh token demand, and no commitment to additional XRP purchases accompanied the announcement.

Where the actual demand signal sits

Hard flow data comes from a different corner. US spot XRP ETFs recorded net inflows of USD 11.31 million in the week of 5 to 9 October, according to media reports — a measure of money that genuinely moved into XRP investment products, unlike a personnel decision.

XRP at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

The scope stays narrow. Those inflows cover the named US products over that specific week; they demonstrate neither steady demand over a longer horizon nor buying by Evernorth. Both items belong to XRP's institutional backdrop, but they should not be fused into a single purchase signal.

The same caution applies to the 6 October expansion of the Ripple–Brevan Howard collaboration. Ripple Prime is set to provide prime brokerage, clearing and financing across traditional and digital markets for the firm's funds, according to media reports. The announcement mentioned neither XRP purchases nor use of the token.

Taken together, the picture is one of building infrastructure rather than confirmed buying. Evernorth is staffing up its investment function, ETF flows offer a bounded demand indicator, and partnerships and hires round out the story without substituting for proof of additional XRP purchases. What counts is not how close a headline sits to Ripple or XRP, but how directly it ties back to the token.
