Two Bay Street research houses moved their price targets for Volatus Aerospace higher yesterday, keeping their buy ratings intact. Desjardins Securities lifted its target to C$0.95 from C$0.90, while Ventum Capital Markets raised its own to C$1.00 from C$0.95. Neither firm offered a detailed rationale for the adjustments, and both stopped short of changing their overall recommendation.

The upgrades land against a busier corporate backdrop. On Wednesday, Volatus unveiled a deal to acquire Lithuanian sensor specialist AISPECO UAB outright, a transaction the company frames as a technology play rather than a simple order win. AISPECO builds airborne sensor hardware and flight-management software, and folding it into Volatus would deepen the Canadian firm's hand in European defense and airborne intelligence work.

What the Buyer Is Actually Paying

The base consideration comes to US$10.5 million, split between US$3.0 million in cash and US$7.5 million in Volatus shares. That means the larger slice of the headline price is settled in equity rather than dollars — a detail that matters for anyone weighing dilution against the strategic upside.

On top of the base figure, up to US$2.5 million in additional consideration could follow over a three-year window, payable in cash or stock, contingent on hitting agreed milestones. Those payments are conditional and should not be read as locked-in obligations.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Volatus Aerospace?

Closing remains subject to customary conditions, including the conditional approval of the TSX. The agreement and the completed takeover are therefore two distinct stages, not one event.

Revenue Today, Revenue Tomorrow

AISPECO posted roughly C$5.72 million in revenue for fiscal 2025, according to Volatus. That reported figure is the starting line. For fiscal 2027, Volatus projects about C$10 million in revenue from AISPECO — a forecast that covers the standalone business and assumes no synergies have been baked in.

The gap between the two numbers is an expectation, not a booked result. Investors evaluating the purchase are effectively pricing two separate variables: whether the deal clears its conditions, and how AISPECO performs operationally once inside the fold.

A Contract That Is Half Done

Separately, Volatus has already delivered the first tranche of its ISR training-system contract with a NATO partner, worth approximately C$4.5 million. The customer has begun exercising its option on the second tranche and placed additional orders. The contract carries a potential total value of up to C$9 million.

Volatus Aerospace at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

That leaves a clear line between what has been shipped and what might yet be ordered. The first delivery is complete; the full contract ceiling is not. The same discipline applies to the AISPECO deal — signed, but still conditional.

For shareholders, the analyst target hikes offer one signal, the NATO contract another, and the acquisition a third. None of them substitutes for the others.
