Vanguard's All-World Flagship Quietly Absorbs $18bn Inflows While Its New Siblings Wait in the Wings

The price chart for the Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF USD Accumulation may look like a flatline, but beneath that placid surface, money is pouring in at a pace that leaves every comparable global equity fund in the dust. The distributing share class of the same strategy has pulled in roughly $18.2 billion in fresh assets since January — more than double the tally of its nearest rival — and the accumulating version tracked here has been riding the same wave.
Net inflows into the broader product have exceeded $16 billion over the course of the year, pushing assets under management to just shy of $75 billion. That combination of scale and momentum puts the fund among the fastest-growing global ETFs available to European investors, even as competition in the passive space intensifies.
Fee cuts do the heavy lifting
The engine behind this capital magnet is pricing. Vanguard trimmed the fund's ongoing charges to 0.14 percent roughly two weeks ago — the second reduction in under a year, following a move in October 2025 that brought the fee down from 0.22 percent to 0.19 percent. Stacked together, that represents a cut of more than a third.
Interestingly, the latest fee adjustment has not jolted the share price — the fund has moved just 1.6 percent since the change was announced. The market's muted reaction suggests the cut is doing its work on the structural level, feeding the inflow pipeline rather than triggering short-term trading.
Vanguard frames the move as part of a broader pricing trend across its European lineup. The asset-weighted average expense ratio across its entire European equity and bond ETF range now stands at 0.11 percent, underscoring how cost pressure continues to define the passive fund industry — and how Vanguard intends to stay at the front of that curve.
A family expansion, not a succession
The timing of the inflows coincides with a widening of the product shelf. Just over a week ago, Vanguard launched three new global equity ETFs: one with even broader market coverage across all capitalization tiers, a pure small-cap fund, and a version that strips out US exposure entirely — the FTSE All-World ex-U.S. UCITS ETF.
These additions are designed to sit alongside the All-World family rather than replace it, catering to investors with more granular allocation preferences. So far, the arrival of the new funds has barely dented the flagship's momentum: the All-World ETF has moved just 0.7 percent since their launch, a sign that the newcomers have not yet siphoned off meaningful capital from the established product.
The new listings are now trading on the London Stock Exchange, Deutsche Börse, Euronext Amsterdam, Borsa Italiana and SIX Swiss Exchange, with the LSE marking the occasion with a market-open ceremony.
Steady as she goes
The fund's current net asset value stands at $193.9192 per share as of August 25, with 282,656,511 shares outstanding. On the pricing side, the ETF trades at €166.74, roughly 0.6 percent above its 50-day average of €165.69 — a picture of stability that matches the absence of any corporate actions on the fund itself. No fee changes, closures, mergers or structural adjustments have been announced in the past two weeks beyond the already-implemented cost reduction.
That recent fee cut had initially weighed on the share price, pulling it back 1.4 percent, while the prospect of Vietnam's inclusion in the FTSE Russell indices had earlier provided a 1.6 percent lift about a month ago. Both catalysts have now been fully priced in, leaving the fund to trade on its own fundamentals.
The current price of €166.36 sits 2.3 percent below the 52-week high of €170.24 reached in August, and roughly 24 percent above the year's low from last September. For existing holders, the strategic picture remains unchanged — the steady accumulation of assets tends to improve liquidity and reinforces the fund's cost leadership, but the investment case itself is untouched by the surrounding expansion.
