Vanguard's All-World ETF: Record Inflows Meet a Quietly Expanding Product Family

The money keeps piling into Vanguard's flagship global equity fund, even as the asset manager crowds the shelf space around it with new offerings. In the week through August 24, the accumulating share class of the Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF (IE00BK5BQT80) pulled in net inflows of €863.3 million — a step up from the €637.9 million recorded the prior week, extending a run of accelerating demand.
That momentum is nothing new. The fund already logged the largest single monthly inflows in the European ETF market for July, with media reports putting the figure at €3.3 billion. Industry data from ETFGI shows the European ETF market as a whole reached a record €3.80 trillion by the end of July, with Vanguard's All-World contributing €3.79 billion of that month's total — the biggest single fund haul on the continent.
A Fee Cut and a Crowded Lineup
Part of the appeal is price. Vanguard recently trimmed the fund's ongoing charge to 0.14 percent, a move announced in tandem with the launch of three new global equity ETFs on the London Stock Exchange last Thursday: the FTSE Global All-Cap UCITS ETF, the FTSE Global Small-Cap UCITS ETF, and the FTSE All-World ex-U.S. UCITS ETF. The All-Cap product carries a particularly aggressive fee of 0.07 percent for its category.
The new ex-U.S. fund is a notable first for Vanguard's European lineup, giving investors a way to deliberately underweight American equities — something the firm's own range previously didn't offer. The small-cap fund, meanwhile, targets investors who want exposure to smaller companies beyond the large-caps that dominate the All-World index. For existing holders of the IE00BK5BQT80, the fund's composition is unchanged; what has shifted is the breadth of choice within Vanguard's own product family.
Despite the internal competition, the All-World ETF remains the go-to vehicle for broad global exposure among European investors, and Morningstar's quantitative rating currently assigns it four out of five stars in the global large-cap equity category.
Index Housekeeping: Vietnam and Hindustan Copper
Behind the scenes, the underlying index is undergoing gradual adjustments. FTSE's decision to reclassify Vietnam from a frontier to a secondary emerging market — announced last Friday — will be implemented in four tranches through September 2027, beginning with a 10 percent weighting step on September 21, 2026. Separately, the index provider will adjust the weighting of India's Hindustan Copper effective September 2, following a capital increase by the company. These changes alter the fund's composition only marginally, but they underscore the ongoing maintenance of the index.
Price Action Remains Steady
The fund's shares closed Friday at €167.80, sitting just 1.4 percent below its 52-week high of €170.24 reached on August 13. Year-to-date the fund is up 15 percent, and over twelve months it has gained 24 percent. The price holds above its 50-day moving average of €165.76, pointing to a firm short-term uptrend, and also remains well clear of the 200-day average of €154.46 — a sign the medium-term trajectory is intact.
The fund's net asset value stood at $194.5780 per share as of the latest published data, with a market price of €168.5280 recorded for August 28. No distributions were made during the period; the fund remains fully in accumulating mode. Assets under management reached $79.6 billion as of July 31, keeping it among the largest accumulating world equity ETFs on the market.
There are no signs of any structural changes ahead — no closure, merger, or regulatory proceedings tied specifically to the fund. The product expansion remains the only notable event on the horizon, and for investors, the All-World ETF continues to hold its ground as a core building block, even as Vanguard's own lineup grows around it.
