Uranium Junior's CSE Debut Masks a Steeper Problem: A Share Price Down 98% This Year

Radiant Uranium (RUC) begins trading on CSE, with permits for 30 drill holes at Key Lake Road and 7,000m at Gorilla Lake, despite cool market sentiment.

The paperwork is done, the new ticker is live, and the drill permits are stacking up. But for Radiant Uranium Corp., the hard part — convincing the market its Athabasca Basin assets deserve attention — has barely begun.

The junior explorer completed its move to the Canadian Securities Exchange on August 6, when shares began trading under the symbol RUC. The listing followed a delisting from the TSX Venture Exchange at the close of trading the previous day, capping a rebrand that saw Kirkstone Metals Corp. formally become Radiant Uranium on August 4. A total of 41,216,666 common shares are now listed on the CSE under CUSIP 75026P106 and ISIN CA75026P1062, with investors holding the old paper now facing a change in the security's identification number.

Drilling Permits Pile Up Across Two Flagship Targets

The administrative overhaul, however, is secondary to what the company hopes will be a defining exploration season. At Key Lake Road — the flagship property spanning more than 5,500 hectares and situated roughly 90 kilometers south of the Key Lake mine — approvals are in motion for up to 6.2 kilometers of resistivity survey lines and as many as 30 drill holes. Those holes are designed to test the so-called DD zone, which sits on a north-south trending fault structure geologically consistent with the Wollaston-Mudjatik transition zone, the formation credited with hosting uranium mineralization at both historic and active mines across the eastern Athabasca Basin.

At Gorilla Lake, the company has secured a permit for up to 7,000 meters of diamond drilling. That program is slated to follow a planned airborne time-domain electromagnetic survey and subsequent ground verification, building on a Heli-TEM investigation from 2024 that flagged several structural trends worth chasing. Historical exploration at Gorilla Lake has skewed heavily toward the western portion of the property, leaving much of the land package under-tested. Consultations with local First Nations are running in parallel, a standard step for regional exploration work that will factor into the timeline.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Radiant Uranium?

A third asset, Douglas River, rounds out the portfolio, though no specific exploration steps have been announced for it. The overall strategy is deliberately diversified: multiple early-stage targets across the basin rather than a single high-stakes drill campaign.

Spring Financing Provides the Runway

The current programs trace back to March, when the company — still operating as Kirkstone Metals at the time — launched a non-brokered private placement of up to 10 million units at C$0.20 each. The raise was structured to generate gross proceeds of up to C$2 million, with each unit comprising one common share and half a warrant exercisable at C$1.00. That capital is now funding the permitting process and the planned drill work.

Market Sentiment Remains Decidedly Cool

None of this operational momentum has registered with investors. The stock closed at €0.0897 on Tuesday, down 24.24 percent over the past 30 days and off a staggering 98.12 percent since the start of the year. The shares sit just 5.41 percent above their 52-week low of €0.0851, a floor set as recently as July 20, and remain well below the 50-day moving average of €0.1458.

The picture is complicated by a near-total absence of institutional validation. No analyst coverage exists for Radiant Uranium, and no revenue or earnings estimates have been filed. Retail investors are left to weigh the company's own exploration updates against a share price that has yet to show any response to the permitting progress.

The exchange switch and rebrand give the company a fresh trading platform, but they do nothing to alter the fundamental math. The decisive catalysts, if they come, will arrive with drill results from Key Lake Road and Gorilla Lake — and until then, the market appears content to wait on the sidelines.
