Siemens Healthineers Analysts Stay Bullish as Q4 Report and Accela Decision Loom

Six buy ratings, one hold, and not a single sell call. That is the verdict Wall Street's coverage of Siemens Healthineers delivered across September, even as the medical technology group's shares continued to lose ground. The seven analysts who refreshed their assessments last month settled on an average fair value of EUR 48.67 — a level that sits well above where the stock is actually trading.
The gap tells its own story. Market watchers see room for both an operational and a valuation recovery at the Erlangen-based company, anchored in its core diagnostics and imaging business and in a string of new development steps in cancer care. Not everyone agrees on how far that recovery can run: JPMorgan's team is the most bullish with a target of EUR 57, while Berenberg sits at the cautious end of the range with EUR 40.
A Radiotherapy Platform Built for Speed
The centerpiece of the company's recent pipeline news is Accela, a radiotherapy platform unveiled roughly a week ago at the ASTRO annual meeting in Boston. Its integrated NeoArc technology is designed to deliver stereotactic radiation to multiple sites simultaneously within 60 seconds, completing treatment during a single breath-hold by the patient. The system pairs AI-driven treatment planning with HyperSight cone-beam computed tomography.
Development work was carried out closely with leading clinical partners, among them the Mayo Clinic, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Mass General Brigham. What Accela does not yet have is clearance: the US Food and Drug Administration's 510(k) authorization is still pending, leaving commercial rollout on hold. Since the Boston presentation, the share price has slipped 4.3%.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Siemens Healthineers?
Manufacturing and Diagnostics Push Forward in Parallel
Accela is not the only recent move. Roughly three weeks ago, Siemens Healthineers opened its new Sensor Fab in Forchheim, Bavaria, dedicated to producing CdTe semiconductor sensors used in modern photon-counting CT scanners. On the diagnostics side, the automated CN-3000 and CN-6000 coagulation testing systems are now available for patient testing in the United States. Management also struck a partnership with Novo aimed at improving early detection of MASLD/MASH and widening patient access to non-invasive blood tests.
Analysts have taken note. On September 29, JPMorgan's David Adlington rated the stock "Overweight" with a EUR 57.40 price target, highlighting the efficiency gains and the speed of the Accela platform. Jefferies, according to media reports, reaffirmed its buy recommendation on September 28 with a EUR 50 target.
The Market Has Yet to Catch Up
None of that enthusiasm has shown up in the quote. In today's session the stock is off 1.6% at EUR 37.30, extending its year-to-date decline to 17%. A separate reading puts the annual loss at 15%, with the shares changing hands at EUR 37.97 before the bell. Either way, the distance to the 52-week high of EUR 49.78 stands at 24% — and the distance to the most optimistic analyst targets is wider still.
The next real test arrives on November 5, 2026, when Siemens Healthineers publishes its fourth-quarter and full-year figures and holds an analyst call the same day. That report should show whether the new technologies are already feeding into the operating outlook. Regulatory decisions on the pending product approvals, and the pace at which new therapy systems reach the market, will shape whether the stock can close the chasm between its current price and the targets the analyst community has set.
