Siemens has wrapped up its purchase of key business units from the MERMEC Group, securing all required regulatory clearances on Wednesday. The acquired operations, which employ roughly 1,700 people, generated about EUR 430 million in revenue during fiscal 2025. The announcement came alongside fresh contract wins for the group's rail arm and a rebranding plan at its medical technology subsidiary.

Siemens Mobility, meanwhile, has been tapped by ST Engineering to equip two metro lines in Taoyuan, Taiwan, with signaling and control technology. The mandate covers the Brown Line and an extension of the Green Line, and includes fully automated GoA4 operation. Revenue from the contracts will not flow for some time — commissioning is targeted for the mid-2030s.

Healthineers Charts Its Own Course

Siemens Healthineers said it will trade under the name Healthineers once its separation from the parent is complete. The switch is slated to begin in 2027 and roll out over three years, though shareholders must still sign off at the annual general meeting in February 2027. Siemens framed the joint announcement as sharpening its own profile as an industrial AI company.

Guidance for the 2026/27 fiscal year points to comparable revenue growth of 4.0–5.0%, with adjusted earnings per share of EUR 2.20 to EUR 2.40. That compares with EUR 2.42 in fiscal 2026, meaning the midpoint of the new range sits below last year's figure.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Siemens?

For the just-completed fiscal year, Healthineers reported comparable revenue growth of 4.0% and an adjusted EBIT margin of 16.2%.

Buyback Rolls On

Siemens bought back 359,920 of its own shares in the period from October 26 through November 1, according to a Monday filing. Since the program began on July 1, the company has repurchased 5,578,027 shares through November 1.

In a separate move, Siemens extended the long-term lease on its Düsseldorf Airport City office. The landlord plans to modernize the roughly 6,300 square meters of office space and invest in heat pumps, charging infrastructure and photovoltaic systems.

Siemens at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

The stock slipped 2.8% on Wednesday, a move that followed the previous session's pre-market decline of 0.4%. Neither source attributed the swings to the contract news.

Siemens publishes fourth-quarter figures and preliminary results for fiscal 2026 on November 12 at 07:00 CET, with press and analyst calls to follow.
