Ripple is preparing to move its institutional clients' payment traffic onto its own rails. President Monica Long said the company intends to migrate customer settlement volume to the XRP Ledger in 2027, and that an existing pilot routing transactions through the network's built-in decentralized exchange will be broadened.

The roadmap, laid out at the XRP Seoul conference, came alongside a pair of privacy and automation concepts. Ripple sketched confidential transfers built on zero-knowledge proofs with encrypted amounts, plus wallet designs tailored to AI agents — equipped with verified identities and hard spending caps. Both remain future features rather than live upgrades.

Singapore Hub Opens as Brazil Pilot Takes Shape

Infrastructure work is being matched by a push into new markets. XRP Asia, a Singapore-based body backed by Ripple and the XRP Ledger Foundation, began operations on Saturday with a mandate to drive adoption across Asia-Pacific through developer training, startup support and community programs.

Further west, Brazilian financial infrastructure provider CSD BR and Ripple unveiled a partnership in late September. Under the arrangement, the XRP Ledger serves as a supplementary record and verification layer for assets, starting with investment fund shares issued by BTG Pactual, while CSD BR's systems retain responsibility for official registration and custody.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying XRP?

Long also raised the prospect of tying Ripple's payments business to a credit structure on the ledger. According to media reports, that lending model is still a conceptual proposal rather than a launched product.

Validators Weigh Lending, Delegation and Batching

Several technical votes are moving through the validator set. RippleX has opened balloting on LendingProtocolV1_1, which introduces closed vaults and cash-basis accounting — a prerequisite before more advanced credit protocols and single-asset vaults can go live.

PermissionDelegationV1_1 is projected to activate on October 8, allowing accounts to hand off limited permissions without surrendering their master keys. A day later, BatchV1_1 and its companion fixBatchV1_2 are expected to follow, enabling multiple transactions to be bundled and processed together. All three depend on validator support holding steady. The developer team has already shipped xrpld version 3.4.1, a security-related release.

ETF Streak Reaches Twelve Weeks

On the capital side, US spot XRP ETFs logged $4.74 million in net inflows during the trading week ending October 2, extending an unbroken run of weekly net subscriptions to twelve. The pace cooled from the prior week, with Franklin Templeton's XRPZ fund absorbing the bulk of the money.

Exchange reserves, meanwhile, have been thinning. Balances on Binance fell to 2.63 billion XRP as of October 4, while Upbit showed reserves of 6.41 billion XRP. Outflows alone are not conclusive evidence of holder intent, which is why market participants are watching the upcoming network activations closely.

XRP changed hands at $1.50, down 0.7% on the day and roughly 5.9% above its 50-day average of $1.42.
