Rheinmetall's Twin Order Wins Meet a Cautious Analyst Note Ahead of Q3
Published on 11/02/2026 at 05:41 | Editorial boerse-global.deRheinmetall packed a busy week with contract news, but the market's attention is already shifting to 5 November, when the defence group reports third-quarter 2026 results. The stock closed Friday down 2.0%, caught in a broader pullback across German defence names that media reports linked to uncertainty over possible peace negotiations.
The week's headline deliveries came in the vehicle business. Rheinmetall Landsysteme and Rheinmetall Defence Nederland handed over the first series-production Caracal vehicles to the Bundeswehr and the Dutch armed forces, with the ceremony held Thursday at the Dutch production site in Ede. More than 1,500 vehicles are slated for delivery through 2030.
Artec Books 69 Schakal Vehicles
A day earlier, the procurement agency OCCAR placed an additional order with Artec for Schakal wheeled infantry fighting vehicles. The joint venture between Rheinmetall and KNDS Deutschland will supply 35 units to Germany and 34 to the Netherlands, with deliveries scheduled from May 2032 to November 2033. Rheinmetall values its own share of the contract in the mid-three-digit million-euro range.

Analyst Christoph Laskawi, cited by dpa-AFX, pointed to an expectations dilemma surrounding the company's 2030 targets and flagged uncertainty over future order intake ahead of the capital markets day.
