Renk's Chief Executive Buys Shares Hours Before Posting a 33.6% Order Surge
Published on 11/06/2026 at 14:41 | Editorial boerse-global.deAlexander Sagel put his own money on the table the day Renk Group's nine-month figures landed. The chief executive picked up 6,790 shares at 35.17 EUR apiece in Xetra trading, a purchase worth 238,802.94 EUR disclosed in a mandatory notification published the same day the defence contractor reported its third-quarter numbers.
That vote of confidence accompanied a set of results showing demand running well ahead of revenue. Order intake for the first nine months of 2026 climbed 33.6% year on year to 1,664.4 Mio. EUR, while sales advanced a more modest 5.8% to 982.0 Mio. EUR. Profitability outpaced both: adjusted earnings before interest and taxes rose 12.7% to 158.8 Mio. EUR.
The backlog stood at 7.6 Mrd. EUR as of 30 September. Management left its full-year targets for the continuing operations untouched, still guiding to revenue of roughly 1.4 Mrd. EUR and adjusted EBIT of between 240 Mio. EUR and 255 Mio. EUR. One structural change is coming — the plain bearings business will be reported as a discontinued operation from the fourth quarter of 2026.

Saab Places a Third Stirling Order
On the naval side, Renk Magnet-Motor booked an order from Saab on 29 October covering three Stirling power generation systems destined for a submarine programme run by a NATO member state. Renk described it as the third major order in its collaboration with the Swedish defence group. The same announcement flagged the company's maritime portfolio presentation at Euronaval in Paris, a trade fair running from 3 to 6 November.
A day later, Renk unveiled development work on the HSWL 406 transmission for future heavy tracked vehicles. Italy's New Main Battle Tank programme was named as a possible application, though no order has been signed for it.
Investors will get the fuller strategic picture on 8 December, when Sagel presents the group's direction at a hybrid strategy update in London.
