Renk Group will lay out its strategic roadmap at a hybrid strategy update in London on 8 December, with chief executive Dr. Alexander Sagel presenting the group's direction to an audience attending both in person and online.

The announcement comes against a backdrop of robust order growth and continued analyst support. Jefferies reiterated its buy rating on the stock on Thursday with a 60 euro price target, while JPMorgan maintained its overweight recommendation and a 50 euro target the same day. Jefferies analyst Chloe Lemarie noted that the quarterly results had largely met expectations.

Sagel, for his part, put his own money behind the story. Media reports indicate the CEO acquired 6,790 Renk shares at 35.17 euros apiece, lifting his holding in the company. The purchase was made on the day the nine-month figures were published.

Those numbers showed order intake climbing 33.6% year on year to 1,664.4 million euros in the first nine months of 2026. The order backlog stood at 7.6 billion euros as of 30 September, according to company figures.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Renk Group?

Revenue growth lagged behind the order book. Renk reported sales of 982.0 million euros for the nine-month period, an increase of 5.8%. Profitability outpaced the top line, with adjusted EBIT rising 12.7% to 158.8 million euros.

Reuters reported that Renk has cautioned about a slower conversion of its backlog into revenue owing to delays in major programmes — a timing issue that puts the delivery calendar under scrutiny even as new wins keep accumulating.

Guidance for the continuing operations was left untouched. Management continues to expect revenue of around 1.4 billion euros for 2026, with adjusted EBIT projected in a range of 240 to 255 million euros.

Beyond the numbers, Renk has been busy on the engineering front. On 30 October it reported progress on the HSWL 406 gearbox for future heavy tracked vehicles, designed for output of up to 1,400 kilowatts, with development geared toward international programmes including Italy's NMBT effort. A day earlier, ahead of Euronaval 2026, the company unveiled maritime propulsion solutions for uncrewed surface vessels.

Its Renk Magnet-Motor unit also booked an order from Saab for three Stirling power generation systems destined for a submarine programme run by a NATO member state.

On the corporate side, Renk completed its acquisition of David Brown Defence from Stellex Capital Management after regulatory clearances came through. The business will trade as Renk UK Huddersfield and is expected to bolster the group's capabilities in submarine propulsion systems, among other areas.
