Radiant Uranium Lines Up IP Surveys and Drill Permits Across Two Athabasca Properties
Published on 09/24/2026 at 22:50 | Editorial boerse-global.deRadiant Uranium is moving ahead with a two-track exploration push in northern Saskatchewan, outlining plans for geophysical surveying at Key Lake Road while simultaneously seeking drill permits at Gorilla Lake. The company released an operational update detailing the next technical steps across both projects, with diamond drilling positioned as the eventual goal.
Survey Lines and IP Work at Key Lake Road
Crews at Key Lake Road are preparing to cut grid lines and conduct induced polarization surveys, groundwork intended to sharpen the definition of drill targets before a diamond drilling program gets underway. Regulatory approval for the field activities is being pursued in parallel.
At Gorilla Lake, the immediate focus is narrower: on-the-ground verification work, alongside the submission of the necessary drilling permit applications. Management has stressed that all activities remain contingent on government clearances, consultation processes and final detailed planning. Tim Henneberry, P.Geo., has reviewed and approved the technical disclosures under NI 43-101 standards.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Radiant Uranium?
Growth Strategy Anchored in Saskatchewan
The fieldwork forms part of a broader expansion blueprint. Radiant Uranium aims to pair systematic exploration of its existing holdings with selective acquisitions in the Athabasca Basin, guiding prioritized target zones toward technical milestones one step at a time. Cross Lake, now the company's flagship uranium asset, was added to strengthen the portfolio in a region widely regarded as one of the world's premier districts for high-grade uranium deposits. Management is also evaluating further acquisitions in Saskatchewan's uranium territory.
Rebrand and Exchange Move Set the Stage
These operational plans follow a period of corporate repositioning. On August 5, the company completed its name change from Kirkstone Metals Corp. to Radiant Uranium Corp., aligning its identity with its strategic focus. More than a month ago, as part of that transformation, the explorer shifted its listing from the TSX Venture Exchange to the Canadian Securities Exchange. Shares now trade on the CSE under the ticker RUC, on the OTCQB under RUCCF, and on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under V0O0.
Supply Gap Underpins the Exploration Case
The exploration campaign lands at a moment when long-term supply for the nuclear power industry is drawing renewed attention. State reactor programs, the electricity demands of modern data centers and ambitious climate targets are all feeding global demand. Market participants continue to see strategic potential in emerging project developers, even as prices on the futures and spot markets fluctuate.
A pronounced structural imbalance between supply and demand persists. According to Cameco estimates, roughly 3.1 billion pounds of worldwide utility requirements will remain uncovered through 2045 — about 65 percent of total demand. With lengthy permitting processes and rising development costs slowing the arrival of new mines, promising Athabasca properties are increasingly commanding attention from the resource industry.
