Radiant Uranium Adds Cross Lake to Athabasca Portfolio While Lining Up Permits at Key Lake Road and Gorilla Lake
Published on 09/26/2026 at 12:30 | Editorial boerse-global.deRadiant Uranium Corp. is pressing ahead on two exploration fronts at once, pairing a freshly optioned Saskatchewan property with permitting work at two existing Athabasca assets. The company laid out its near-term work plans on Thursday, just two days after unveiling the Cross Lake acquisition.
At Key Lake Road, the program is built in stages. Radiant intends to clear access trails and run induced polarization geophysical surveys alongside the necessary regulatory filings, groundwork meant to set up diamond drilling that would test geological targets at depth. At Gorilla Lake, the focus is narrower for now: geologists will carry out initial ground checks while the company submits drill permit applications.
None of this work can begin on schedule without clearance. Radiant stressed that every proposed program remains contingent on receiving permits, completing consultation processes and finalizing internal operational details.
Cross Lake Deal Carries 1979-Era Estimate
The operational update follows Tuesday's announcement that Radiant has secured an option to acquire a full 100% interest in Cross Lake from Bromell Mining LLP. The property spans 2,048 hectares in Saskatchewan.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Radiant Uranium?
Terms call for staged consideration. Radiant must make aggregate cash payments of $200,000, issue 4,000,000 common shares and commit to $250,000 in exploration spending. Bromell also retains a 1% net smelter return royalty.
A historical estimate for the project, dated 1979, pegs 371,038 pounds of U?O? at a grade of 1.2435 pounds per tonne to a depth of 75 metres. Radiant was explicit that the figure is a historical estimate only and does not constitute a current mineral resource or mineral reserve.
Media reports noted the share price ticked modestly higher on the day the acquisition was disclosed, before weakening later in the week. Management said it continues to actively review potential takeover targets.
Portfolio Reshaped After Samson Metals and CSE Move
The latest announcements land amid a broader strategic reset. More than a month ago, Radiant walked away from its planned acquisition of Samson Metals. Around the same period, the company completed a private placement for financing and shifted its listing to the CSE.
With permitting files now in motion and field programs taking shape, attention turns to execution on the ground. Whether drilling can actually start — and when — hinges largely on the outstanding approvals.
