The timing of Christopher Longton's arrival at Primary Hydrogen could hardly be busier. The newly appointed Vice President of Exploration, a Certified Professional Geologist, took the helm on July 24 — just as the company's land acquisition machine shifted into high gear across three Canadian provinces.

Longton's mandate covers a portfolio that has expanded rapidly in recent weeks. The centrepiece remains Wicheeda North in British Columbia, where the company has lined up a fully funded drill program of roughly 1,500 metres — the first ever on the property — alongside geochemical soil sampling and an airborne radiometric survey. Completion is targeted for autumn 2026, with management stressing that no additional financing will be needed; the funds come from a Critical Mineral Flow-Through financing wrapped up over the summer.

A Neighbour's Discovery Fuels the Ontario Play

The most recent addition sits in the Thunder Bay Mining District of northwestern Ontario. Primary Hydrogen staked 313 contiguous mineral claims covering around 65 square kilometres at Seagull North, directly adjacent to the Seagull project where a Rift Minerals and Anteros Metals joint venture has confirmed hydrogen-bearing gas at depth.

That proximity is the crux of the investment case. Investors are reading the adjacency to proven gas occurrences as a signal that the geological potential could extend onto the newly claimed ground — though the company has yet to report any discoveries of its own on Seagull North.

The staking continues a dense run of project announcements. On August 18, Primary Hydrogen secured the Northumberland project in Nova Scotia's Cumberland Basin with 72 claims, an area viewed as an emerging district for natural hydrogen. The province added its own regulatory framework for natural hydrogen exploration in April 2026, lending the jurisdiction additional credibility.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying PRIMARY HYDROGEN?

Shares Run Hot on Accumulating News Flow

The market has rewarded the combination of land growth and fresh leadership with a powerful rally. The stock closed Wednesday at EUR 1.32, marking a 52-week high and a 100 percent gain over 30 days. It has since eased slightly to EUR 1.31.

The numbers behind the move are striking. The share price now sits 73 percent above its 50-day average of EUR 0.7557 — a gap that underscores the momentum but also signals a market running hot. The Relative Strength Index reads 83, well above the 70 threshold that typically indicates overbought conditions.

The run-up has been building for weeks. The stock climbed 39.7 percent following the Wicheeda North drill announcement, then added 48.3 percent after the neighbouring Ontario hydrogen discovery came to light. Over the past week alone, the shares have gained 24 percent.

A Rebuilt Leadership Team Under the Microscope

Longton's appointment completes a leadership overhaul that began in late July. David Jackson stepped into the President and CEO role on July 20, with Benjamin Asuncion remaining as director. Since Longton took over exploration operations, the share price has more than doubled.

The company's financial footing was reinforced in early July through a non-brokered private placement of 2,459,570 units at CAD 0.60 each, generating gross proceeds of roughly CAD 1,475,742. A separate marketing agreement with Nordcore Media LLC, valued at USD 300,000 over an expected six-month period, was signed in July.

The geographic spread — from Nova Scotia to British Columbia to Ontario — reflects a deliberate diversification strategy. Whether the three parallel projects deliver drill results with credible hydrogen evidence within their targeted timelines is now the key question hanging over the stock's trajectory, with first results expected this autumn.
