Primary Hydrogen Gears Up for Wicheeda North Debut as Airborne Survey Nears Completion
Published on 09/28/2026 at 11:01 | Editorial boerse-global.dePrimary Hydrogen is entering the final stretch of preparation work at its Wicheeda North rare earth project in British Columbia, with the company's first drill campaign now less than two weeks away and geophysical data expected to land before the end of September.
Field crews have wrapped up Phase 1 soil sampling and handed the material over to a geochemical laboratory, while a second round of sampling is already underway across the property. Those early results are meant to sharpen the geological picture and give the company firmer ground on which to base its targeting decisions.
Airborne Survey and Lab Work Feed Into Targeting
All major contractors for the exploration campaign have now been engaged. Running alongside the Phase 2 sampling is the processing of geophysical data from a radiometric airborne survey flown by Precision GeoSurveys, a contract awarded roughly two weeks ago covering 738 line-kilometres. The flights were scheduled for September 20, with preliminary readings due at the end of the month. Combined with the Phase 1 lab values, the geophysical maps will be used to flag promising anomalies.

Drill Rig Set for October 1 Spud
The groundwork feeds directly into the maiden drill program. Radius Drilling Corp. was secured roughly two weeks ago to run a campaign totalling approximately 1,500 metres. Mobilisation is slated for October 1, with completion targeted by November 1. The full exploration and drilling budget for the year is both fully permitted and fully funded — a point management flagged back in August.
Portfolio Expands Across Three Provinces
Beyond British Columbia, Primary Hydrogen has been widening its property footprint. About a month ago the company staked the Wallace project in Nova Scotia's Cumberland Basin, targeting natural hydrogen. That asset ranks as its second holding in the basin, alongside the existing Northumberland project. Slightly earlier, the company pegged Seagull North, a 65-square-kilometre parcel in northwestern Ontario, directly adjacent to ground where drilling for natural hydrogen and helium is currently active. Shareholders also signed off on a compensation plan for the management team at the annual meeting, closing out the governance agenda for the months ahead.
Market Snapshot
The stock changed hands at EUR 0.7900 on the day of the most recent reading, a modest decline of 1.2 percent. Over the past week, however, the shares have added 14 percent. An earlier session saw the price climb 6.4 percent to EUR 0.7450, a move that came without a company-specific catalyst in the published releases; across the preceding seven trading days, the gain stood at 7.2 percent.
With October 1 on the horizon, investor attention is now fixed on the interim laboratory reports and the arrival of the drill rig on site.
