Activists rally against Palantir's £330M NHS framework as one trust says it has no deployment plans; insiders and ARK sell shares.

Palantir Technologies is discovering that a signed national contract is one thing — getting hospitals to actually switch on the software is quite another. On Thursday, activists and NHS workers rallied against the English health service's partnership with the US data giant, targeting a framework agreement worth £330 million. The pushback isn't confined to picket lines. Back on 22 September, the Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust told a local oversight committee it currently has no plans to deploy Palantir's Federated Data Platform.

That admission cuts to the heart of the bull case. A national framework does not guarantee smooth, nationwide adoption when individual regional trusts drag their feet or refuse access to patient records outright. In heavily regulated sectors like healthcare, technical prowess alone rarely carries the day; political friction and suspicion of closed systems can blunt the practical payoff and stretch out rollout timelines in ways that matter to the top line.

Beyond the Hospital Corridor

Palantir is hedging against that dependence on sprawling public-sector projects by pairing its software with decentralized computing power. No financial terms or binding delivery commitments were disclosed, and the stock has added 2.7% since. The tie-up reflects a strategic push to bring artificial intelligence to remote locations that lack fixed network infrastructure.

Alongside those operational moves, executives have been adjusting their holdings. On 29 September, CFO David A. Glazer and Ryan D. Taylor — Chief Revenue Officer and Chief Legal Officer — each received allocations of 92,908 Class A shares. On the other side of the ledger, director Lauren Elaina Friedman Stat sold 1,337 Class A shares on Thursday through the open market under a pre-arranged trading plan. Such transactions sit within standard compensation and hedging structures, though they underscore the steady flow of stock at the top of the company.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Palantir?

ARK Trims as Analysts Split

The selling wasn't limited to insiders. ARK Invest reportedly offloaded roughly $3.95 million worth of Palantir shares on Friday, moving right after a sharp rally in the prior quarter. Friedman Stat's disposal — 1,337 Class A shares at $189.95 apiece — was executed under a Rule 10b5-1 plan put in place on 11 February 2026. Portfolio tweaks after strong gains are routine, yet they sharpen the question of how much upside is left. Following the recent advance, market participants are weighing how durable the current valuation really is.

Wall Street's verdict is anything but unanimous. At Goldman Sachs, Gabriela Borges reaffirmed a neutral rating and a $204 price target on 28 September, crediting the company's forward-deployed engineering model and software products while flagging competitive dynamics and persistent investor debate over how long that edge can last. Rosenblatt Securities' John McPeake took a brighter view, restating a buy rating and a $225 target on 23 September. Between those poles sits much of the market's mood.

Valuation Leaves Little Room for Error

Investors continue to price in the long-term technology vision at a demanding level. With the stock at €170.84, the software house carries a market capitalization of €404.57 billion. At that multiple, the market has scant patience for operational delays. In trading the shares changed hands at €168.94, sitting 12% above their 50-day average of €150.49.

Attention is therefore shifting from headline contract values to real-world usage. Prestigious wins lose their shine when regional institutions hesitate and frontline users protest. Palantir now has to prove it can bridge the gap between highly sensitive mega-deals and broad acceptance on the ground — without denting the growth momentum it has promised.
