Nebius Stock: Friday's 8.4% Rebound Is the Easy Part — November 12 Is the Real Test
Published on 11/07/2026 at 14:41 | Editorial boerse-global.deNebius shares climbed 8.4% on Friday, riding a broad recovery in AI and data-center names after the previous session's technology-driven selloff. Chip stocks also moved higher, according to Reuters, as the sector shook off losses tied to worries about potentially stricter AI regulation.
The bounce wasn't confined to Nebius. CoreWeave advanced alongside it, and media reports pointed to IREN's quarterly results as an additional lift for the AI-cloud complex — with Nebius's gain read as a sympathetic reaction to another company's numbers. IREN reported $228 million in revenue for its first fiscal quarter of 2027, with AI-cloud revenue nearly tripling from the prior quarter. Investors, in other words, treated a competitor's results as encouragement for the wider sector.
Citi Keeps the Buy, Cuts the Bar
The more sober read came from Citigroup. Analyst Tyler Radke reaffirmed his buy rating on Nebius on Wednesday but lowered his price target to $265 from $324, according to media reports — a trim that landed just ahead of the company's upcoming quarterly report.
That combination — a positive rating paired with a lower valuation yardstick — captures the tension around the stock. It suggests a more selective lens on Nebius, one in which operating progress matters more than general enthusiasm for AI infrastructure.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Nebius?
There was also a cautionary note from Bloomberg, which reported tighter Microsoft oversight on some data-center projects involving Nebius, IREN and Nscale. The report cited delays, regulatory issues and high costs, and it sparked concerns about project execution and capital deployment in the AI-cloud sector — though it covered only a portion of the projects in question.
Capital in Hand, Results Still Pending
Nebius gave itself additional room to maneuver roughly two weeks ago with a $3.5 billion senior secured credit facility arranged by Citi. The 364-day line can be drawn for data centers, GPU procurement and general corporate purposes. Access to that capital is an advantage — provided Nebius converts the financial headroom into operating progress. The short maturity also makes the timing of funding against spending a key yardstick.
What matters most now is the company's own disclosure. Nebius has scheduled its third-quarter 2026 results for November 12, before the market opens, with a conference call set for 8 a.m. Eastern Time. That date should carry more weight than Friday's sector move — as long as the release delivers solid evidence on how the business is actually developing.
Nebius at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.
For now, the picture is one of cautious optimism: a friendlier sector mood, a fresh funding line, and a trimmed but still bullish target. The decisive input for any durable re-rating, though, will have to come from Nebius itself.
