Nebius Stock: A 50-Megawatt US Footprint and an Inference Buy Reshape the Growth Story

A 2.7% dip to EUR 209.80 is the kind of move that can rattle investors on a choppy trading day. There was no company-specific trigger behind Monday's decline — and zooming out, the bigger picture at Nebius looks considerably more constructive than a single red session suggests. The company is steadily reinventing itself, moving away from being a pure data-center tenant toward becoming a fully integrated artificial intelligence provider.
Pullbacks after a strong run are simply part of market life. What matters far more is how management is positioning the business for the quarters ahead.
Infrastructure First: 50 Megawatts and a Private Cloud Lane
The strategy rests on tangible assets. Last Wednesday, Nebius signed a binding agreement with AIB Data Centers for 50 MW of critical IT capacity at a site in the southeastern United States. The deal locks in sorely needed data-center space to serve persistently strong demand for AI compute.
Hardware alone, though, no longer wins against the cloud heavyweights. Alongside the capacity buildout, Nebius rolled out third-quarter enhancements to its cloud platform, among them Cloud Interconnect — a feature that opens direct, private links between customer networks and the Nebius AI Cloud. For enterprise clients handling sensitive data, that kind of architecture is frequently a precondition for switching providers.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Nebius?
Software as the Margin Engine
The software side may be the most compelling piece of the puzzle. Nebius bolstered its own inference platform, Nebius Token Factory, by acquiring Inferize. The deal brings both the specialist's optimization technology and its engineering team under the Nebius roof. Neither party disclosed financial terms. Israeli outlet Globes, citing unnamed sources, floated a price tag of USD 100 million to USD 130 million — a range that remains unconfirmed.
Whatever the final figure, the direction is clear: Nebius doesn't just want to sell compute time, it wants to make model execution more efficient and thereby generate higher-margin platform revenue.
A Broad Market Tailwind and a Fresh Analyst Endorsement
The stock's most recent upswing came on a different set of drivers. Nebius shares climbed 4.3% on Friday, closing at EUR 215.65, carried by a broad recovery on US exchanges. The catalyst was fresh September US employment data, which fueled hopes of calmer interest-rate conditions. As Reuters reported, the jobs figures came in weaker than expected, easing worries about further rate hikes and persistent inflation. Growth and technology names were the main beneficiaries of that relief.
Media reports pointed to no company-specific catalyst behind Friday's move — Nebius simply rode the sector wave. Sentiment has also been supported by positive analyst coverage: William Blair initiated coverage of Nebius on September 30 with an "Outperform" rating.
The Rally Behind the Headlines
Confidence shows up in the longer-term chart, too. Despite intermittent swings, Nebius is up 193% since the start of the year. That combination of operational progress in the cloud business and a periodically more rate-friendly market backdrop continues to underpin the stock.
If the company can bring its contracted compute capacity online quickly and monetize it through software extensions like Nebius Token Factory, the foundation for the next phase of growth should be in place. Set against that, the latest consolidation looks like ordinary market movement — and the 185% year-to-date gain the shares have already delivered more than justifies the occasional breather.
