Nebius spent the past week proving it can pull two levers at once — locking down physical capacity and pushing through higher prices for the computing power it already owns. Investors liked what they saw. The stock climbed 4.3% on Friday to close at 215.65 euros, riding a broader tech recovery that lifted the Nasdaq by 0.95% and the technology sector by 0.99%.

The advance leaves the shares 17% below their 52-week high, but up a striking 193% since the start of the year — a run that has turned the AI cloud specialist into one of the more closely watched names in the infrastructure trade.

A Twelve-Year Anchor in the US Southeast

On Wednesday, Nebius announced a binding agreement with AIB Data Centers for 50 megawatts of critical IT load at a site in the southeastern United States. The contract runs for an initial twelve years and will be delivered across two data center halls. Because power connections are already in place at the location, the company expects a swift ramp-up timed to customer needs.

The deal lands alongside a fresh analyst initiation. William Blair began covering Nebius on Wednesday, framing the company as a full-stack AI cloud platform spanning training, inference and agent-based workloads. Media reports attached a buy rating to the launch, though the firm's official note did not disclose a specific recommendation.

Raising Rates While Others Debate Cuts

A day later, Nebius lifted its hourly rates for Nvidia graphics processors. The on-demand price for the widely used H100 rose from $3.85 to $4.50 per hour, while premiums on top-tier models such as the B300 reached as much as 21%.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Nebius?

That move carries weight precisely because some market participants have been debating whether GPU rental prices are heading lower. Nebius's decision suggests the opposite: that modern compute remains scarce and that the company holds genuine pricing power.

Software is the second front. Nebius acquired Inferize, a specialist in inference optimization, and will fold both its technology and its development team into the Token Factory platform. The goal is to cut idle GPU capacity and improve the economics of running AI models. No financial terms were disclosed, though industry observers cited by media put the transaction between $100 million and $130 million — with some estimates stretching to $150 million.

The Capital Hunger Behind the Growth

The operating numbers explain why the company is spending so aggressively. In the second quarter of 2026, revenue jumped 454% year over year to $582.3 million. In that same quarter, $5.66 billion flowed into property and equipment.

The pipeline ahead is larger still. Management is planning a new data center in Lappeenranta, Finland, with capacity of up to 310 megawatts and a project volume expected to exceed $10 billion.

Bank of America has crunched the sector's numbers and found that for a group of expansion-minded infrastructure providers — Nebius among them, alongside CoreWeave and Oracle — planned investments outstrip operating cash flow by hundreds of billions of dollars. That gap leaves little choice but to return to debt markets or equity investors for fresh funding.

Two Targets, One Warning

Analysts remain broadly upbeat despite the financing burden. Bank of America rates the stock a buy with a $310 price target. BNP Paribas Exane is more aggressive still, setting a target of $399.

Those expectations underscore confidence in Nebius's technological relevance, yet they also raise the stakes. With investment plans this ambitious, even a brief dip in demand could unsettle the valuation framework. The combination of contracted data center capacity and targeted acquisitions to sharpen efficiency makes the company's case for rapid, scalable delivery in a fiercely competitive AI infrastructure market — but it is not a stock for the faint of heart.
