LVMH will report third-quarter 2026 revenue on October 12 after Paris close, with Bernstein, RBC and Jefferies all trimming price targets.

LVMH has pencilled in October 12 for its third-quarter 2026 revenue release, scheduling the disclosure after the close of Paris trading at 18:00 CET via live webcast. The interim report lands at an awkward moment for the French luxury group, with the sector's demand backdrop having darkened noticeably and investors hungry for any sign that the slide in high-end consumption is bottoming out.

Attention will centre on the core brands and on consumer sentiment in key markets such as Asia, where reticence among affluent shoppers has weighed on the entire industry for months.

Brokerages Trim Their Targets

Sell-side conviction has been eroding steadily. Bernstein cut its price target on Tuesday to EUR 480 from EUR 520 while keeping a Buy rating, pointing to a markedly weaker appetite for luxury goods in China. RBC Capital Markets had already downgraded the stock on September 22 to Sector Perform from Outperform, lowering its target to EUR 475 from EUR 575, citing softer macroeconomic conditions and flattening luxury demand in the third quarter. Jefferies moved the same day, reducing its target to EUR 440 from EUR 510 and sticking with a neutral stance. Neither house expects a meaningful acceleration in organic revenue growth any time soon.

The market has taken note. LVMH closed Friday's Paris session at EUR 381.20, leaving the shares down 40 percent year to date after touching a fresh 52-week low of EUR 377.35 during the same session.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying LVMH?

Governance and Ownership Overhaul in Motion

Against that backdrop, long-term structural questions around the group have drawn fresh scrutiny. Media reports suggest the Arnault family is weighing whether to grant deputy CEO Stéphane Bianchi formal corporate-officer status as part of its governance planning — a move that would further entrench the group's leadership architecture.

The family also unveiled a plan to simplify its control chain over LVMH. Under the proposal, holding companies Financière Agache and Agache would be merged into Christian Dior, which would then be converted into a listed partnership limited by shares trading under the Agache name. The resulting entity would hold 49.76 percent of LVMH's capital and 65.55 percent of its voting rights. Minority shareholders of Christian Dior would receive a cash buyout offer without a squeeze-out, subject to shareholder approval and regulatory clearances; the cash tender is earmarked for the first quarter of 2027.

On the personnel front, LVMH moved quickly on Wednesday, appointing Laura Vandendaele as Senior Vice President of People Experience and Learning with immediate effect, alongside Pierre-Julien Bousquet as Senior Vice President of People Engagement — a response to the more demanding internal requirements of a tougher industry climate.

Buyback Reporting Filed

LVMH also confirmed on September 29 that it had submitted its disclosure of own-share transactions for the September 21–25 trading week to the French financial markets regulator AMF.

Whether the macroeconomic headwinds have actually bitten into the top line will become clear when management presents the third-quarter figures. What investors want to know is whether the descent is slowing — or whether margin pressure is still building.
