LVMH has disclosed a fresh round of transactions in its own shares covering the period from 26 to 30 October, lodging the required filing with France's AMF market regulator. The same batch of mandatory notices also captured performance-linked share awards taken up by Bernard and Frédéric Arnault.

Bernard Arnault declared the acquisition of 7,012 LVMH shares on 26 October, a transaction the filing ties to a performance-based allocation. Frédéric Arnault reported picking up 345 shares the same day, likewise linked to a performance-linked grant.

Away from the share ledger, the luxury group's long-standing Hermès stake has drawn the attention of French investigators. Le Monde reported on 30 October that they are examining LVMH's role in the affair of the missing shares of Hermès heir Nicolas Puech. These are reported lines of inquiry, not a finding of wrongdoing.

Jean-Jacques Guiony, chief executive of Moët Hennessy, was questioned as a witness, according to the report. Guiony said LVMH had not asked who owned the shares on offer, nor verified the seller's entitlement to them.

Security has been tightened in parallel. Reuters reported on 24 October that LVMH stepped up protection for its Louis Vuitton, Dior and Bulgari stores near the Place Vendôme ahead of protests in France, and deployed private security staff to patrol shopping districts known for high-end boutiques.

On the operational front, the group is phasing in its "AI for ALL" transformation programme across its business units, a plan launched a year ago that aims to harness innovation while preserving the excellence and independence of its maisons. Artificial intelligence was the focus again on Tuesday at the third edition of LVMH's "Business of Tomorrow" event in Paris, where participants debated how the technology could spur innovation across the group's six divisions.

Creative leadership at Louis Vuitton shifted as well: Hector Muelas took up the role of Chief Brand Creative Officer on 1 November, and according to media reports he is responsible for the brand's creative storytelling, its campaigns and content production.
